With more work coming in because of its successful track record, Erise IP is busy adding staff and office space. In Kansas City, Erise recently signed a lease to expand its space by 38% from 17,500 to just over 24,200 square feet, taking over the top floor of our office tower. And in Denver, where our staff has tripled in number over the past three years, Erise recently moved into a new 6,000 square-foot space downtown. Firmwide, our roster of attorneys, patent agents, technology advisors and more has increased fivefold since we launched in 2012.
Erise regularly handles defense of patent cases where the damages requests are upward of half a billion dollars. For example, Erise recently won summary judgment for Sony, cementing its successful defense of the global video game leader in a $500 million infringement suit that threatened its PlayStation console. Erise’s other clients include Garmin, T-Mobile, FanDuel, EA and more. Erise has won six consecutive defense verdicts, attracting significant competitor litigation work as well.
