Erise IP Shareholder Abran Kean was selected as a panelist for an upcoming webinar on IP Chat Channel – a leading resource in the global Intellectual Property community.
Kean, a patent litigator in Erise IP’s Denver office, will share his expertise in a February 27 program titled, “Functional Claiming: Latest Developments.” The panel will discuss how defendants might try to deflect the assertion of functional claims today, the most recent Federal Circuit decisions on functional claiming, and how patent prosecutors can write useful claims that will stand up in the future despite possible new limits on broad functional claiming.
Kean was selected for the webinar due to his extensive IP knowledge and experience. Over the course of his practice, Kean has litigated numerous intellectual property cases in district courts across the United States. In addition to managing district court litigation, he has handled cases before the International Trade Commission and has briefed multiple appeals to the Federal Circuit.
