Megan Redmond to Present at Association of Intellectual Property Firms Annual Meeting

//

Erise IP partner Megan Redmond will attend and present at the upcoming Association of Intellectual Property Firms Annual Meeting held September 22-24, in Alexandria, Virginia, where she will present on changing venue requirements for patent litigation.

Where to file a patent litigation lawsuit is an important issue for patent litigators. Venue requirements are strict, especially in view of recent case law, and motions to dismiss the litigation because of improper venue are more common.

Redmond will focus on venue requirements and practical issues that attorneys need to be aware of to avoid dismissal or (as the defendant’s counsel) possibly obtain dismissal.
