Erise IP Shareholder Eric Buresh has been named an “Intellectual Property Trailblazer” by The National Law Journal. The honor, according to the NLJ, recognizes IP attorneys that show “a deep passion and perseverance in pursuit of their mission, having achieved remarkable successes along the way.”
In the NLJ’s 2016 “Intellectual Property Trailblazers” issue, an article on Buresh highlights his recent “trails blazed,” including serving as lead attorney in the first defeat of the famously invincible Uniloc patent as well as leading Ford Motor Company in adopting a no-settlement approach. “Specifically, fee models are much more reasonable, plus the aggressive use of PTAB proceedings allows us to go on the attack. It has allowed Ford to move from a settlement posture to a no-settlement one, and the number of cases against Ford has diminished,” Buresh said in the NLJ article.
Buresh was selected for the honor from hundreds of nominations, according to the NLJ.
