Erise Represents Sprint in Patent Trial Win

//

An Eastern District of Texas jury issued a verdict in favor of Erise IP’s client, Sprint Spectrum L.P., on Dec. 18.

The verdict followed a trial in Adaptix, Inc.’s suit against wireless companies Alcatel Lucent USA, Inc., AT&T Mobility LLC, Cellco Partnership and Sprint Spectrum, L.P. The result was highlighted by Law360 in a story titled, “Texas Jury Nixes Wireless Patent Asserted Against AT&T.”

Adaptix, a subsidiary of Acacia Research Corporation, had claimed patent infringement in the case, and the jury returned a verdict that the asserted claims of an Adaptix patent were invalid and not infringed.

Mark McGrory, Erise IP Of Counsel, represented Sprint Spectrum L.P. in the case.
