Jennifer Bailey to Lead Patent Application Presentation

//

Erise IP Partner Jennifer Bailey will be speaking Dec. 10 in a webinar titled “Top 5 Techniques for Software Patent Applications Post-Alice.”

During the webinar, Bailey and other panel members, Gene Quinn of IP Watchdog and Kate Gaudry of Kilpatrick Townsend, will walk participants through the best techniques for drafting software patent applications in light of the Supreme Court decision in Alice v. CLS Bank – a ruling that has led to several hurdles in the patent application process for software inventions.

Bailey specializes in post grant review of patents and patent prosecution in the electrical, computer software and electromechanical arts. She has extensive experience navigating her clients’ patent applications through the U.S. and foreign patent offices to obtain the best possible scope of protection while still limiting examination expense.

She regularly presents on IP and technology issues. For instance, this fall, she shared her knowledge as a featured speaker during the 14th Annual BKD CFO Seminar in Kansas City. The event, hosted by national CPA and advisory firm BKD, attracted more than 100 CEOs.

The webinar is sponsored by Innography, a leading provider of patent search and intellectual property analytics software. Participants of the Dec. 10 webinar will include patent professionals and innovators.
