Professional Profile
Adam is one of the two founding members of Erise IP. Over a 20+ year career, Adam has established himself as a trial lawyer in district courts, at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board,, and at the International Trade Commission. He has been responsible for litigating more than 100 intellectual property matters in district courts across the country; has coordinated multiple global litigation campaigns; and has been lead counsel on more than 187 IPRs and 26 Federal Circuit appeals.
He has been recognized as one of the top seven attorneys for litigating cases at the PTAB. Most recently, in September 2022, he was ranked among the top 10 most active attorneys representing petitioners at the PTAB by Patexia. He is a “Leading Lawyer” in the 2022 edition of Chambers USA, which described him as “one of the state’s leading lights in intellectual property matters, with clients benefiting from his well-honed strengths in IP litigation matters.”
Adam’s work on litigation matters has led to numerous defense verdicts in district courts and the ITC. He also is equally accomplished in offensive litigation campaigns for his clients; he has put together cases for telecom clients that have resulted in hundreds of millions in verdicts and licenses. He has obtained license agreements that should result in nine-figure payments by the end of their life. And he has had countless features removed from competitive products through aggressive litigation for his clients.
Adam’s experience in all these cases is very broad and encompasses nearly every type of technology involving telecommunications, mobile devices, navigation, GPS, mechanical, crossbows and archery, pharmaceutical, and nearly every manner of electrical and computer based technology.
