DeLaney develops thoughtful and creative patent prosecution strategies that protect client innovations, withstand future litigation and IPR challenges, and help her clients realize the full value of their intellectual property. Her experience includes patent prosecution across a broad range of technologies, including gaming infrastructures, software, electromechanical systems, and medical devices.
She expands client portfolios through patent harvesting, unearthing patent-eligible innovations, and by drafting joint development agreements, which allow companies to retain their IP rights and collaborate with other businesses. DeLaney’s experience also includes freedom to operate searches, evaluating infringement risk, and analyzing competitor portfolios for invalidity. She also works with foreign counsel to advise their clients on domestic prosecution strategies.
While studying for dual undergraduate degrees, DeLaney gained valuable technical experience as a software engineering intern for a leading aerospace and defense technology company and as an electrical engineering intern for a major manufacturer of farm, construction, road, and railroad infrastructure.
