Nick focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation with an emphasis on complex patent litigation and trade secrets, as well as post-grant proceedings at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Nick’s technical expertise encompasses mechanical engineering, with an emphasis on airflow and fluid mechanics. His work experience includes designing an auxiliary fume hood to filter out toxic chemicals. In addition, he has expertise in manufacturing engineering analysis and material sciences.
Before he was a licensed attorney, his legal experience included serving as a law clerk for Erise and working as a summer associate for a full-service law firm in Kansas.
Prior to attending law school, Nick was a mechanical engineer for a Kansas City-based aerospace manufacturer of aircraft passenger cabin interior products for the commercial and business jets where he performed analyses for functionality of oxygen systems to drive design changes. He is certified by WHA International in Level 4 O2 Analyze, Oxygen Hazards & Fire Risk Analysis.
