Omar brings a mathematician’s mindset to patent litigation. With degrees in both mathematics and computer science, he supports the firm’s litigation and post-grant teams on disputes involving processor architecture, networking, semiconductors, and software.

Before joining Erise, Omar spent two years with a student-run venture capital fund, first as an intern and then as an analyst, evaluating early-stage companies and the technologies behind them. He also earned an undergraduate certificate in cybersecurity and co-authored a publication on the efficacy of nanoparticle drug delivery as a pathway for cancer therapy.

Outside the office, Omar is an avid reader, an amateur programmer and mathematician, a frequent concertgoer, and a climber who spends more time in the kitchen than most people would guess.
