Sriya is a technical analyst with an appetite for the obscure. She came to intellectual property because few other fields reward genuine curiosity so directly—patent work means learning how something novel actually works, then explaining it well enough that someone else understands it too. The combination of technical depth and writing made the choice an easy one.
Sriya earned her degree in computer science from the University of Kansas, where she was a member of the SELF Engineering Leadership Fellowship. Her experience spans both sides of the technology world: she has worked as a software engineer and as a venture capital intern, giving her a view of emerging technology from the code up and from the investment side down.
Outside the office, Sriya hikes whenever she can—most recently through the El Yunque rainforest in Puerto Rico—and spends her free time drawing and working her way through increasingly ambitious from-scratch desserts.
