Erise IP is pleased to announce that Chris Schmidt, an attorney with more than a decade of law firm and industry experience in intellectual property, has joined the firm as an associate.
Chris joins the firm’s Overland Park, Kansas, office. His practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, with an emphasis on patent litigation and post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
He brings experience as an engineer as well as a named inventor on numerous patents in addition to law firm experience with him to Erise. Prior to joining Erise IP, he served as in-house counsel at a technology company in California. Additionally, he previously practiced with an AmLaw100 firm. Before moving into the legal industry, he earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from San Jose State University and worked as an engineer.
Chris earned his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law.
